About Course

This course aims to prepare educators with potential, namely the senior teachers, for leadership in the early childhood setting by exploring self-leadership, team leadership and centre leadership.

For self-leadership, learners will first examine their personal values to guide their decisions and actions that align with their centre’s mission, vision and core values. They will also assess their role as senior teachers in complementing the centre leader, explore the different types of leadership and apply team leadership skills in working with a diverse workforce.

At centre management level, an alignment tool known as the Hierarchy of Choices will be shared for learners to assess the alignment of the centre’s initiatives to its core values, mission and vision.

Note: This course will be conducted via online learning until further notice.
