About Course

Immerse yourself in the Chinese language and culture, while understanding how early education affects a child’s development.

When you choose NIEC’s Early Childhood Teaching specialisation in your second year, you will spend Years 2 and 3 learning more about the holistic development of a child, and curriculum planning and design for preschool education.

You will also get the chance to apply theory to practice through field practicum and internship.

The Diploma in Chinese Studies (Early Childhood Teaching) is conducted by NIEC in collaboration with Ngee Ann Polytechnic at the NIEC (NP) campus. It is a professional qualification recognised by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) for practice as a preschool teacher in Singapore.
