About Course

This 2-day course is for centre leaders, who are keen to learn how they can lead and support their teachers in providing outdoor learning experiences for children.

Centre leaders will gain the knowledge and skills to integrate the outdoors as part of the centre programme. Adopting an awareness-building approach, leaders will be engaged in activities aimed at building staff capability and resource development.

Underlying these activities will be the use of a practice-based inquiry approach to enhance teacher development. Key concepts in outdoor learning will be woven into the activities, and strategies for change management will be introduced to facilitate implementation.

*Learners will be required to do some pre-reading and pre-course preparation.

Note: Leading and Supporting Outdoor Learning will be conducted via online learning until further notice. In-person lessons may resume for upcoming intakes, subject to prevailing COVID-19 measures implemented by the government. Students will be notified at least 1 week to the commencement of these intakes.
