NIEC was featured in Tamil Murasu on 10 May 2025 for our participation in the Tamil Language Festival. Students from NIEC (Ngee Ann Polytechnic) Campus organised “Thullum Ilamai”, an event aimed at encouraging children aged 3 to 6 to speak Tamil and develop an appreciation for Tamil culture.   Held at the Indian Heritage Centre, the programme featured storytelling, drama, folk dance, and traditional music,  presented in simple Tamil and supported with visual aids. The performance also creatively incorporated iconic local figures such as Stamford Raffles and the Merlion, making the content engaging and relatable for young children.   The initiative was well-received by parents and organisers, who commended its educational value and its role in nurturing a love for the Tamil language and heritage from an early age.
