In the second episode, aired on 26 March 2025, Dr Hong Qiuyun, Lead Lecturer at NIEC, shared practical advice for parents on helping their children manage money. Focusing on Primary 1 children’s daily allowance, Dr Hong introduced the “Four Jar Method” to guide children in budgeting their pocket money for essentials, fun purchases, emergencies, and charitable giving. She emphasised the importance of allowing children to make their own spending decisions, teaching them about financial independence, and the value of money in real-life situations.
