【看见主播 |王征】化繁为简三步骤 小学生收拾书包不求人 [Translation: (Presenter Insights | Wang Zheng) Three Simple Steps to Help Your Child Pack Their School Bag Independently]

As part of CBD’s media engagement efforts, 8world is featuring NIEC faculty in a five-part video series that offers parents tips on supporting their child’s transition to primary school. New episodes will be released every Wednesday.

In the fifth and final episode, aired on 16 April 2025, Ms Corrine Madelyn Wai Foong Fan, Programme Head at NIEC (NP), shared practical ways parents can guide their children to pack their school bags independently. Drawing from her own experience as a mother, Ms Fan emphasised that independence is best nurtured gradually—starting with close guidance and progressing to full autonomy over time. She recommended involving children in creating a personalised checklist and breaking down the packing process into three simple steps: checking small items, arranging books, and organising loose papers. Ms Fan also highlighted the importance of role-modelling and using positive reinforcement to foster responsibility and build confidence.
