[NEW] Overview of Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) 2023
About Course
This short course aims to provide infant, early years and preschool educators, centre leaders as well as curriculum/ pedagogy specialists with an overview of the revised Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) 2023. Key concepts: beliefs of children, areas of development and developmental goals, C.H.I.L.D. principles, the roles of educators and the Outcomes of Early Years will be covered.
Note: This course will be conducted based on an online microlearning format. Learners can complete the course anytime within 2 weeks. The course is made up of bite-sized sessions that include short videos, readings and e-quizzes.

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- identify beliefs about children;
- identify the four areas of development and the corresponding developmental goals;
- demonstrate understanding of C.H.I.L.D. principles; and
- recognise the role of educators in supporting children’s well-being, learning and development to achieve the Outcomes of Early Years.
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.
- Be ECDA-certified as an L1/L2/EY1/EY2 teacher.
- Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
