About Course
This course focuses on enabling learners to make connections between theory (NEL Principles) and practice and vice-versa in relation to number-sense. The course includes observing, reflecting on related classroom activities and planning differentiated number-sense activities.
Note: This course will be conducted via face-to-face.
- Demonstrate their understanding of the “Whys” and “Hows” of teaching and learning numbers through hands-on activities.
- Create differentiated number-sense activities for children in N2 to K2.
- Use the resources provided in this course to further develop resources in their centres.
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.
- Be ECDA-certified as an L1/L2 teacher.
- Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
