Leadership Series: Developing Leaders’ Planning Capacity (DLPC)

Leadership Series: Developing Leaders’ Planning Capacity (DLPC)

About Course

This course will deepen the knowledge of centre leaders on how to plan taking into account the changes in the external macro environment, both professional and social-political, and possible impact of these shifts/changes on the centre. The internal cycle such as the plan-do-review cycle, paying attention to developing the teachers’ knowledge, skills, and disposition, nurturing a centre-wide professional community, and building teaching and technical resources will also be considered. Planning will be viewed as a continuous process, with capacity building of the organization as the ultimate goal.

Learners will also be introduced to the different levels of perspective (vision, mission, values, beliefs, mental models, structures) to navigate planning. They will also have a chance to reflect on the state of planning and monitoring at their centres and common challenges in planning.

Note: This course will be conducted face-to-face.
