Leadership Series: Growing Leaders, Growing Teachers (GLGT)
Leadership Series: Growing Leaders, Growing Teachers (GLGT)
About Course
This course will provide leaders (lead to centre leader roles) with an appreciation for continuous learning. It examines the key considerations of purpose, process and content, that leaders need to focus on when addressing the professional learning needs of educators. It offers insights into how adults learn and how people learn at work. It also examines the key factors needed to build a culture for learning. It helps leaders understand that educators’ personal and professional identity are inextricably intertwined and affect their readiness and motivation for learning. It offers guidance on processes that leaders need to put in place when drawing up a centre learning plan to address both centre and staff needs for the year.
Note: This course will be conducted face-to-face.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- understand why professional learning and development is important;
