[NEW] Overview of Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) 2023 and Putting EYDF 2023 into Practice



About Course
This short course aims to guide Senior Infant Educators, Lead Early Years Educators, Centre Leaders, Senior Centre Leaders, Curriculum/ Pedagogy Specialists and ECDA Fellows on how to enhance centre practices by taking reference from Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) 2023. Participants will discuss how the developmental goals and C.H.I.L.D. Principles can be applied to improve quality care and education to children in the early years. Participants will review practices to better incorporate C.H.I.L.D. Principles and examine how educators can be supported to apply the principles when working with children.
Note: This course will be conducted via online learning.
Information on the upcoming course for Overview of Early Years Development Framework (EYDF) 2023 and Putting EYDF 2023 into Practice (Chinese) will be updated soon.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- identify the links between the EYDF 2023 and NEL Framework 2022;
- identify C.H.I.L.D. Principles in practice and review practices to better incorporate C.H.I.L.D. Principles;
- examine how developmental goals are used in planning; and
- support the educators to work with the infant and toddler group.
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education;
- Be ECDA-certified as an L2 teacher; and
- Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
