[NEW] Overview of NEL Framework

About Course
Early Years and Preschool Educators will be introduced to the latest NEL Framework 2022.
Note: This course will be conducted based on an online microlearning format. Learners can complete the course anytime within 2 weeks. The course is made up of bite-sized sessions that include short videos, readings and e-quizzes.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- demonstrate understanding of the key messages of NEL Framework 2022 and the key updates;
- identify the two beliefs about children and the three key areas of development essential for character building and lifelong learning: Values, Social and Emotional Competencies and Learning Dispositions;
- identify the five Learning Areas and the respective learning goals;
- demonstrate understanding of iTeach Principles; and
- recognise the role of educators in nurturing early learners
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.

Be ECDA-certified as an L1/L2 teacher.

Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
Centre Leaders, Curriculum/Pedagogy Specialists and ECDA Fellows can consider applying for the course, Overview of NEL Framework 2022 and Putting NEL Framework 2022 into Practice.
Upon Completion
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
