Dr Chong Hong Cheong, Alan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the National University of Tainan and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Taipei. Dr Alan received his PhD in Preschool Education from East China Normal Universityi. Dr Alan was a Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Research Mentor for 11 undergraduate students and taught them a degree-level module on Child Growth and Development (0-8). He has taught in the EC industry for over 22 years (including study and internship). He specialises in Child Psychology, Numeracy, Motor Skills Development, Designing a Learning Environment, Singapore’s Multiracial and Multi-Cultural Society, and Creative Arts. He also teaches Early Years and Family and Community Partnerships modules.
张博士毕业于，国立台南大学幼儿教育学系教育学学士、台北市立大学幼儿教育学系教育学硕士，以及华东师范大学学前教育学系教育学博士。在学前教育专业领域有22年（包括在学期间和实习），在培训大专和本科的经验有12年，在学院任教于学前教育文凭、大专和本科课程。所教授的课程内容包括：本科课程有儿童心理学；大专文凭课程有新加坡社会与多元文化、儿童的成长与发展、幼儿环境创设、幼儿肢体动作发展、儿童探究世界、早期数学教育、幼儿课程设计、幼儿社会发展、儿童资讯教育、儿童语言教育；婴儿保育专业文凭课程有培育师与其他专业人员合作关系、0-3岁婴幼儿发展理论与实践、培育师与家长、家庭成员和重要他人的沟通技巧；延续专业提升课程有户外教学0-6岁等、与幼儿父母及其家庭成员的有效沟通、儿童行为管理、关爱幼儿社会性及情感的健康发展（四至六岁）、制作教师专业发展电子档案、与幼儿家庭建立合作共育关系等。
