Mr Lee Yong Jun holds a Master’s degree in Child Development from the Institute of Education, University College London, UK, a Master’s degree in Child and Family Studies from Yonsei University, Korea, and a double Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Consumer, Child and Family Studies from Inha University, Korea.
Yong Jun specialises in research methods, statistics, and child psychology. His dedication to investigating resilience in at-risk children has driven his research, earning him the Grand Prize at the National Statistics Competition in 2004. He has also contributed to the academic community with a publication in the Korean Journal of Child Studies in 2005 and a presentation at the NIEC Professional Sharing Symposium in 2019 on “Stressful Life Experience and Protective Factors of Resilient Children.”
In 2023, Yong Jun was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Educational Prospective in the E Era in Taiwan, where he presented on “Flipped Learning Pedagogy in Education for Sustainable Development,” recognised for its innovative use of learning analytics.
Prior to lecturing, Yong Jun worked on various research projects with young children and youths in Korea and the UK. He has experience as a preschool teacher in Korea and as an assistant teacher in the UK, including work with children with autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome.
