Ms Emily Toh Lai Poh holds a Master’s degree in Education from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She specializes in extensive topics like the study of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Early Education. Her lecturing experience includes Child Development, research modules, Theories to Practices and internship supervision. Ms Emily has contributed to publications and conference presentations namely, the “Joint 7th Self Biennial International Conference” and “ERAS Conference” and “Capabilities and Preferences of Incorporating ICT: A Study of Preschool Teachers in Singapore”. Her passion for the study of robots has led to publications of “Developing and Benchmarking Show and Tell Robotic Puppet for Preschool Education” and “Early Childhood Teachers” Views towards using Constructivist Internet-Based Environments to Support Children’s Learning Activities: A mixed-methods study’ for Australasian Journal of Early Childhood.
She contributed an article in 2023 to ECDA Bean Stalk discussing the use of technology in young children (Jul-Sep issue). Apart from this, she presented at EduTech Asia 2023 Conference about Flipped Learning. She further shared at T&L Colloquium at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, HMS about the use of ICT in Blended Learning,2021 & Community of Practices, 2023.
In 2024, as an invited speaker at Edu Tech Asia 2024, delivering on the session of AI-Powered lesson. She also presented at SP International Learning Festival, Poly-ITE Gen AI & demonstrating innovation project done with CLTE, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
