Ms Irma Iryanti Binte Juri holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Children and Family Studies from Edith Cowan University. Through her many years as an educator and principal in a non-profit organization, Ms Iryanti strongly believes in engaging and involving families in their children’s learning journey. Project: READ! was one such initiative, which was a culmination of field trips, visits to the library, and stage plays with the aim of heightening parental involvement and children’s experiential learning in language usage and literacy development. She specialises in Language and Literacy, Child Development, Discovery of the World, Play, Learning Environment, and School-Family Partnmerships. In addition, Ms Iryanti’s passion for language and literacy has spurred her to write and publish three children’s books and formulate strategies to increase parental involvement and enhance teachers’ approach to teaching language.
Ms Iryanti has a strong volunteer work history. She actively contributes to MENDAKI’s Education Symposium as moderator, presenter, and facilitator and conducts workshops for families in discipline and language arts. Her recent topic to inspire educators through the NIEC Naptime webinar was ‘What Does It Take to Be a 21st Century Early Childhood Educator’. She is an awardee of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Teaching Awards in 2023.
