Ms Krishnasamy Lalithal holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Tamil University, a master’s degree in arts, and a bachelor’s degree in literature in Tamil from the University of Madras. With more than twenty years of invaluable experience in early childhood settings, she has served in key leadership roles as both a center principal and lead principal at the PAP Community Foundation. She was also a Curriculum Developer for the Tamil Central Curriculum Package. Her dedication and excellence were recognized with the Excellent Principal Award in 2015.
Over the past seven years, she has been lecturing and mentoring students towards their academic and personal growth, leading the Certificate course for in-service Tamil language teachers, and actively contributing to Continual Professional Development Courses tailored for in-service early childhood Tamil language educators. As a lecturer, she has developed and taught many modules in Tamil language. Her contributions to Ngee Ann Polytechnic have earned her awards such as the School Teaching Award (STA) in 2020 and the NP Teaching Award – Commendation (NPTA) in 2022.
She also presented “New Dimensions in Tamil Children’s Literature” at the 2nd International Conference of Children’s Literature in Tamil, India, was a judge for the Outstanding Pre-school Mother Tongue Language Teacher Award, and authored children’s Tamil stories and Tamil children’s songs for publication.
