Ms Michelle-Lynn Yap Yuling

Ms Michelle-Lynn Yap holds a Master’s degree in Specific Learning Differences from London Metropolitan University and the Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA). With over 20 years as an interventionist in special educational needs, she specialises in the areas of Developmental Needs/Childhood Disorders and Disabilities and Inclusive Practices. Ms Michelle has presented at international conferences and local convention workshops on topics including “Reconstructing worldviews on disability and inclusion”, “Multilingualism and learning” and “Universal Design for Learning (UDL)”. Ms Michelle was previously Course Lead for the Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS) and now lectures and supervises on the Literacy Support Package. Ms Michelle contributes to raising faculty’s awareness of inclusive practices and has contributed to an article in ECDA’s Beanstalk (Issue 43, Apr-Jun 2024) titled ‘The Inclusive Classroom’. Ms Michelle is also a recipient of the NP Teaching Award (NPTA – Commendation) for AY2023/2024.
