Ms Millicent Nargis Bawany holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from Monash University. With 40 years of experience in preschool teaching, leadership, management, and training. She specialises in Language and Literacy, Professional & Reflective Practitioner, Social and Emotional Learning, and Leadership in Early Childhood. Ms Millicent has written and developed curriculums for the Early Childhood sector, as well as presented papers on Preschool Teacher’s Beliefs, Independent Learning for Preschoolers, and Narrative Skills in Literacy Learning at local and international conferences. She has received the Regional Training and Resource Centre (RTRC) Asia Book Award for Academic Excellence, the Golden Key International Award for Academic Excellence at Monash University, and the Special Mention Award from Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre (presented by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong) for volunteering, designing, and developing the Language and Literacy Programme.
