Ms Nur Jihan Jamil holds a Master’s degree of Science (Early Childhood Education with Special Needs), Wheelock College and a Bachelor’s degree of Science (Psychology), University of Southern Queensland. Her professional experiences include being an educational therapist, providing interventions for children with dyslexia. Ms Jihan co-developed informal numeracy tests to help identify children with dyslexia who are experiencing numeracy difficulties. Her expertise includes integrating auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning styles for teaching children. She made significant contributions to piloting the Numeracy programme at Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) and her action research on: Teaching boys with Dyslexia using Multisensory Approach with a Focus in learning styles further strengthened her belief in teaching through hands-on approach. Ms Jihan strongly advocates early intervention for children with special needs and mental health issues.
