Ms Mariappan Vinothini holds a Master’s degree in Education (Early Childhood Education) from the National Institute of Education, National Technological University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Childhood and Family Education from Edith Cowan University. With 12 years of experience in the early education sector, she specialises in Learning corners and Teaching resources, Play-based learning, and Tamil Language. Additionally, she is the awardee of the Service Star Award and Excellent Service Award in 2015, the ITE Teacher Award in 2018, and the Special Commendation Award (Team) for Innovation and Productivity in 2018. One of Ms Vino’s recent innovation efforts was to develop a virtual reality classroom: The Safety Simulation Program ‘Safe Haven’. Primarily this innovation provides authentic learning experiences, identifies safety issues, and inculcates a sense of safety awareness within the students.
