Skills-Based Modular Courses (SBMC) and Professional Development Programme (PDP)
SBMC provide learners with flexible, bite-sized and targeted learning options. These courses enable you to gain or deepen relevant skills and knowledge; and customise your learning according to your needs and interests.
Maximum Candidature Period:
Credits earned from the completion of SBMC is valid for 4 years and can count towards the attainment of a full qualification Diploma/Post-Diploma. The maximum candidature period is:

5 years for a CET Diploma,

4 years for an Advanced Diploma; and
-
2 years for a Specialist Diploma and the Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (Conversion).
Professional Development Programme (PDP)
Applicants under ECDA's Professional Development Programme for Teachers [PDP(T)] may apply for modular courses under the Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL) and Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS). Eligibility
For all modular courses, applicants are required to meet the minimum entry requirements (MERs) of the corresponding Diploma/Post-Diploma. Please click on the course pages below for the respective MER.
Certification
Upon successful completion of each modular course, you will receive a Statement of Results. Credits earned from SBMC can be considered for credit exemption for the corresponding Diploma.
