‘Nenek Selampit’ terbit 3 buku cerita sentuh sosioemosi si cilik
NIEC (City) Adjunct Lecturer Jumaini Binte Ariff was featured by Berita Harian, talking about her 3 new books which address the social and emotional needs in young children, launched at the Children’s Content Festival (AFCC). In the article, she shares her aspirations for the books to serve as a stepping stone for promoting discussions on topics related to social-emotional well-being between adults and children. The article goes in depth about the importance of social-emotional well-being in children, how it will affect the children as they grow to become adults, and how the books are able to aid the children in guiding them to learn values like compassion. Miss Jumaini shares in the article about her difficult journey in completing the books and the various forms of help she received from the Lee Kuan Yew Bilingual Fund (LKYFB) board and the Singapore Book Council. She discussed her hopes for the book to be a material used by teachers and parents for the promotion of social-emotional learning.
