To our dearest Educators,
It was such a blast interacting with all of you during the ‘Developing values in children and self’ Naptime Webinar on 28 April 2023 🎉
More than 450 educators listened in to our lecturer, Ms. Melissa Leong, as she took us on a journey to discover what our personal values are, where they stem from and how these values shape our interactions with children.
If you didn't manage to catch the webinar, watch it here!
Walk away with various practical tips that you can use to nurture values in children, in the classroom and beyond!
Mrs. Loke (Director & CEO, NIEC) and Ms. Sharon Toong (Lead Lecturer, NIEC NP Campus) joined during the Q&A segment to share how educators can create a supportive learning environment for cultivating values in children.
Take a look at the core values we share as a community
During the webinar, we got you to tell us which values you hold close to your hearts and it looks like, as a community, we share many similar ones!
By knowing what our values are and consistently demonstrating these values in our daily interactions with children, we can inspire them to adopt similar values and attitudes.
How do we, as a community, nurture values in children then?
We also got you to share the different ways in which you cultivate values in the little ones. Check out all the heartwarming entries here and pick up a tip or two!
Special shoutout to the 3 lucky participants whose entries were chosen to win a $20 CapitaLand voucher each:
“Don’t just teach your kids to count, teach them what counts most”
Wanna know how you can instill values in children that will last a lifetime? You’re in luck! We’ve put together Melissa’s tips, as well as a game that you can print and play with your children to help them better understand important values, in our digital handout here!
