Using Music for Classroom Management
About Course
This 1-day continuing professional development (CPD) course focuses on the use of music and related activities as classroom management strategies. The strategies will be musical, positive, fun, creative, and will encourage success in preschoolers. Learners will also be introduced to the use of transition songs.
Note: This course will be conducted in person.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Suggest and implement at least 5 creative classroom management strategies.

Compose transition songs using piggyback songs techniques for different scenarios.

Transit a group of pre-schoolers from one activity to another using transition songs, visual and/or audio cues.
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.

Be ECDA-certified as an L1/L2 teacher.

Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
Upon Completion
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
