[NEW] Overview of NEL Framework 2022 and Putting NEL Framework 2022 into Practice

About Course

Centre Leaders, Curriculum Specialists and ECDA Fellows will be guided on how to revise and enhance their centre’s existing curriculum and pedagogical practices by taking reference from the latest NEL Framework 2022. You will explore how to guide educators to nurture Values, Social and Emotional Competencies as well as Learning Dispositions in children (VSLD). You will also discuss how iTeach Principles can be applied in practice to produce a quality preschool.

Note: This course will be conducted based on an online learning format. Learners can complete the first 3 hours of the course anytime within 2 weeks. The course is made up of bite-sized sessions that include short videos, readings and e-quizzes. For the remaining 4 hours, learners will need to attend a half-day scheduled online workshop from 9am to 1pm.  

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  • guide educators to identify opportunities to nurture VSLD in children;
  • suggest ideas to revise and enhance existing curriculum and pedagogy to incorporate VSLD; and
  • identify iTeach Principles in practice.
Upon Completion

Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).

Entry Requirements

This course is for individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Currently employed as a Curriculum/Pedagogy Specialist, Centre Leader or Senior Centre Leader.
  • Appointed as an ECDA Fellow.

ECDA-certified L1/L2 teachers can consider applying for the course, Overview of NEL Framework 2022.

    Duration Learners are required to: 
    3 hours complete the microlearning sessions anytime within 2 weeks, and
    4 hours attend a scheduled online workshop from 9am to 1pm
