Established in 2019 by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) is dedicated to uplifting the quality of early childhood (EC) education in Singapore.
NIEC works closely with the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and MOE to ensure that our training meets the evolving needs of the sector. We remain committed to work alongside with our preschool partners and these agencies to continually enhance the skills and capabilities of EC educators and look forward to partnering you in the following areas.
Nurture and Develop Your Educators with NIEC
Dedicated Courses
Dedicated runs of selected Full-Qualification (FQ) and publicly available Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses may be mounted for your organisation, catering to educators interested in upskilling in the same learning area on your preferred date. In addition to course subsidies, preschool partners enjoy some flexibility in scheduling and shaping discussions to better align to the specific needs of your organisation and/or centre.
Customised Training
Tailor your educators’ professional development by partnering with NIEC to create customised training programmes that will meet your organisational needs. You have full flexibility in defining learning outcomes, content, delivery methods and schedule, and in the inclusion of your SOPs and case studies, ensuring the training aligns with your goals.
Moreover, customised training extends beyond teaching staff and includes others such as Curriculum Specialists and administrative staff. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a certification from NIEC, which can count towards their CPD hours.

Recruitment and Outreach
Partner NIEC and leverage on WSG’s Career Conversion Programme (CCP) to attract a new pool of preschool educators through a variety of targeted outreach initiatives, including NIEC’s Course & Career Fairs, Learning Journeys for aspiring educators, and dedicated recruitment efforts locally and internationally.
Additionally, collaborate with us to strengthen parent engagement through meaningful initiatives designed to build trust, bridge communication between parents and educators, and highlight the importance of strong home-centre partnerships in supporting children’s development.
