About Course
Collaborating with parents within the landscape of early childhood education is important even when situations are challenging. This course equips learners with the skills they need towards minimising conflicts and acquiring strategies for effective conflict management resolution. The course examines the core principles of working through a conflict, fundamental communication styles toward conflicts and practical aspects of building and re-building trust after an episode of differences and contention.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- recognise the six core principles of working through conflicts;
- examine fundamental communication towards minimising and resolving conflicts;
- identify effective problem-solving elements in conflict resolution; and
- analyse elements of building trust after a conflict.
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.

Be ECDA-certified as an EY2/L1/L2 teacher.

Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
Upon Completion
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
