[NEW] Making 3R Interactions Visible
About Course
This course aims to enhance learners' understanding and application of 3Rs interaction by examining learners' prior knowledge, making it visible and understanding what is and what is not 3Rs interaction with young children. Learners will have hands-on practice on Serve & Return interactions and appropriate communication strategies used in the primary caregiving system through sensitive observations and understanding of different child temperaments via role-play, scenarios, discussions, and activities.
Note: This course will be conducted online synchronous.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- acquire a better understanding of the 3Rs in interactions;
- apply the 3Rs in serve & return interactions with children in the primary caregiving system through sensitive observations;
- understand and demonstrate the importance of appropriate communication strategies for interactions with young children; and
- develop strategies to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents in applying the 3R interactions with children.
Entry Requirements
This course is for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Have completed an ECDA-recognised certificate or diploma in early childhood care and education.

Be ECDA-certified as EY1/EY2/L1/L2 teacher.

Currently employed in a childcare centre registered or licensed with ECDA.
Upon Completion
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
